Series: Devil May Cry 4

This is probably one of the most difficult costumes I've made. It was a huge engineering and patterning challenge, but I love how it turned out! The main parts of the bodysuit are made from white cotton sateen with a skin-tone mesh for the cut-out sections. The cuffs, collar, and hanging panels are all lined with orange satin. It was a challenge to figure out in which order to put all the pieces of the costume together since everything is very intertwined. The mesh fabric was also not particularly cooperative, but it makes a costume that looks impossible to pull of at first glance into something that works in real life!

Throughout all of the fabric sections, I used a variety of embroidery stitches with metallic gold thread to emulate the designs from the game artwork. The detailing on the mesh parts was added with white fabric paint.

The epaulettes are made from craft foam, shaped with a heat gun, and painted.
